Countryside Live
After a visit to the Great Yorkshire Show we were persuaded to try our hand at showing. A 3rd place prize at Sykehouse show with a ram lamb(Judged by Mr J Dodsworrth) was the resulted effort, making it a worthwhile excercise. We caught the bug! Resultant years have seen a steady increase in the showing at both local and county level and at JSS shows/sales, with champions and reserve champions at Great Yorkshire, Royal Lancashire, Derbyshire and champion 3 years on the trot at the Royal Norfolk. A champion ram lamb at the JSS Northern Reigon show and sale at York, resulted in the highest priced sheep of 500 guineas, reserve champion at Skipton JSS sale and champion sheep at JSS Melton Mowbray sale followed. A recent excercise has been the

During our early years we sold a pair of gimmer lambs to John and Stephanie Sleightholme as we did not have time to commit to showing. Whitley Nora went on to become champion at the Royal Highland, English Royal and Reserve champion at Great Yorkshire and the Royal Welsh show. In total she collected 35 1st prizes champions and interbreed championships in one season, some testomony to our breeding.
